Why document a screen?

A dated record of a screen's condition is surprisingly useful: proof of a defect inside a return window, a condition statement when selling a device, verification when buying used, acceptance testing for company IT assets, or a before/after record around a repair. Fill in what you found with the dead pixel check and the other tests, and pair the report with actual photos of the screen for the strongest case.

Privacy: the report is built entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — the PNG, print view and text live only on your device, a draft is kept in your browser's local storage, and the share link simply encodes the visible fields in the URL itself.

What this test checks

  • A dated record of the device, the tests you ran and what you found
  • Marked defect positions carried over from the tests themselves
  • Export as PNG, printable page, plain text or a share link
